About the Author

KUNIAKI IMOTO was born in 1944 in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. His father was a Seitai teacher and practitioner, introducing Kuniaki to Seitai treatment at the age of five. After becoming a qualified acupuncturist in Japan, Kuniaki was dispatched by the Japanese government to practice and teach acupuncture in Germany and Switzerland, and during this period he deepened his knowledge of Western medical science. It was here that he came to the conclusion that among all the various therapies he had encountered, Seitai was the most effective. After returning to Japan, he founded his own branch of Seitai treatment, Imoto Seitai, which he has practiced all over the world ever since. He has established Seitai educational institutions in Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, and Fukuoka, in order to hand down his skills and philosophy to future generations. He contributes to many magazines and has published more than ten books in Japanese.

Great book.

Seitai is the most amazing healing method I have ever found. If you are fortunate to live in an area where there is a Seitai practitioner and you have any physical problems, do yourself a favor and go see them. If not, this book is full of Seitai exercises for a large number of symptoms.

The book is amazing. Example

I was looking for a cookbook on Seitan from Macrobiotic cooking and found Mr.Imoto's book instead!
Serendipity! The book is amazing.
Example: I had strained my back and it was stiffening up. My daughter recommended muscle relaxers but being into Natural Medicine, I searched in this book, for the exact cure for stiff backs, did the exercise for 10 min. or less! and immediately the stiff muscles began to relax. Slept great and in the a.m. I was fine. My daughter thought I had taken the pills and instead I bought her a copy also.
The HOT MOIST TOWEL METHOD: is wonderful for any injury/ stiffness, pain etc.
I also love that Mr. Imoto took the time to share with us a series of exercises so that you can get an honest overview of which muscles and body parts need stretching / exercises etc.
Anyone doing yoga or other forms of physical exercise would benefit highly from this great book.
I am trying to have a visit with him to the States or at least a webinar as we could all benefit from Seitai.
He was an acupuncturist for years and then followed in his dad's footsteps and feels that Seitai can surpass the healing qualities of Acupuncture which is saying a lot.
For Pregnant women there is an explanation as to why many women keep their baby weight on after delivery.
Its because you are getting up and walking around and doing way tooo much for your family before your spine has had tome to readjust after the delivery and shifting of your bones. So, stay in bed for a couple of weeks and rest and let everyone care for you, like in Japan so that you can be truly 100% again and not out of sync with your spine.
He covers just about everything in this book. America needs a Seitai School and practicioners NOW!
