A MUST HAVE FOR ANY SINGER WHO WANTS TO LEARN HOW TO BELT CORRECTLY

I am a vocal instructor that specializes in vocal techniques. I have been teaching for over 25 years now and have read AND practiced with all of the books I have ever read over time to see what worked and what didn't. I felt compelled to write a review of this book. This book is probably THE BEST book I've ever read on this subject. Additionally, the videos are spot on. Ms. Gagne is an EXCELLENT instructor. It is amazing to me how good she is at conveying the message through book and video alone. It's like taking an in person lesson with her. I strongly recommend this book to anyone that is trying to learn how to belt correctly. I can't tell you how many books I have read on this subject and the subject of mixed voice. This book is a keeper and a book you should keep handy for reminders of what is correct and incorrect should you begin to run into trouble somewhere down the line with this style of singing. Thank You, Ms. Gagne for such an easy read, easy to understand, easy to work with, and most effective book.

Great Book

I'm a voice student at Berklee and had the privilege of working with Jeannie a year ago. I've studied classical voice for well over 12 years now, and as much as I enjoy the Bel Canto style, I've felt frustrated that belting is a bit of a taboo between classically trained vocalists. This limitation led me to be more picky about my repertoire and style which... sucked. I think what's great about this book is not just that it addresses the technical aspect of the human voice, but establishes a real healthy attitude for a vocalist to see themselves. The exercises are simple but engaging, and the short tunes included are easy to sing and it actually bridges the gap to exploring actual music out there that includes a lot of belting. Worth EVERY penny you should get it.

I worked with Jeannie for 3 years at Berklee, and I learned very quickly that she is one of the most knowledgeable vocal technicians in the business. Her first book, Your Singing Voice, was an incredible addition to my vocal technique and wellness, and this book, Belting, has already become a valuable part of my daily singing practices. If you want to practice, and to improve singing in a contemporary, belty voice, this book is an one-in-all guide to doing it! The audio and video examples are particularly helpful and unique. This book will be beneficial to all levels of singers, from those just starting to train, to professionally trained vocalists.

Hot menage!

I think I am addicted to the 1Night Stand series of books. And this story only adds fuel to the fire.

For romance lovers - those of us who love reading about love at first sight and happily ever afters - this book is very satisfying. It kept me enthralled from beginning to end. So much so that I growled at anyone who dared to interrupt me until I finished.

The relationships and motivations of the characters were well done. I got to know them and I like them. Right from the beginning, I wanted Audrey to get her HEA with these two (hot!) men.

This was truly an enjoyable story and a very hot read. I highly recommend it to any 1Night Stand fans, as well as anyone who dreams of finding not just one, but two loves of their lives.

This is a really clever and helpful book aimed at giving autistic children a better understanding of how everyday conversations work, using the analogy of a steam train... using illustrations of the freight wagons, the author shows how important turn-taking is in conversation... Amazing approach for non-autistic kids too

My son is 5 years old with selective mutism and social anxiety among other things (Tourette's, OCD, SPD, etc). When he is around people he doesn't know very well he won't talk at all but in a comfortable situation (usually with neighbors, relatives, family friends), he won't stop talking. He interrupts, changes topics, and walks away in the middle of the conversation. These are probably all normal 5 year old traits but I know his anxiety feeds into it as well. It also is starting to affect him socially. Our block has a wide range of ages and the kids who are just slightly older than him get kind of annoyed sometimes. This book has been a huge help. It describes the parts of conversation as the parts of a train...perfect for my train lover...and gives us a way to talk about conversation. We'd tried for a long time to explain about not answering what someone else says with an unrelated thought but now we just say, "Oops, you derailed the train," and he stops and responds to what the other person said.

So grateful for books like this!

Great book perfect for kids who are higher functioning on the spectrum. My son loves trains so he really liked the pictures and included work sheets are great. Really helped him relate to the idea of conversation and made it a more enjoyable process.

This book provides an amazingly helpful analogy between trains and the format of successful conversations for children on the higher-functioning end of Autism Spectrum Disorder. It's a brilliant example of incorporating children's interests into teaching. I've worked with children and adolescents on the spectrum for years and they really engage in activities involving Shaul's Conversation Train. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to help children develop good conversation practices. LOVE it!

Not a good Finale

The series itself drifted off and was way to predictable.... I don't lke how they had Liberty switching sides so easliy. and I dont llike how Dahlia met her demise so suddenly after her build up from the last book. I do like how they brought the Cartel, Dopfiend and Supreme Clientele series together thought! but this book was a dud for a finale

I just finished reading Murderville 3. I have to say I enjoyed it more than part 2 but it wasn't as good as part 1. I'm glad Ashley and Jaquavis didn't drag the series out for another installment (they're good for doing that). Po was a weak man and could never compare with Asha'i. I didn't like the fact that everyone was easily tricked by Dahlia, I mean was she really all that. There was an inconsistency with them saying at the beginning of the book Liberty didn't need to steal from Po because she had plenty of money. Then when they all got back to Detroit saying that duffle bag of money wouldn't last and Liberty thought she might need to get a job or go back to school. I liked the ending and I'm glad it shows that good does triumph over evil, Liberty won and got the happiness she deserved.

First off...Dahlia is a beast...ruthless, reckless and raunchy! But I didnt like the fact that suddenly folks back from Africa sided with her soo fast...but in the end Dahlia met up with another ruthless and reckless female...her name is Karma! The whole Liberty and Po thing was a mess and she basically got with ole boy on the rebound...they never even thought to cross paths like that until they was put in that situation with the African people but I must say...it was a beautiful ending for Liberty! But I'm most excited about is The Illuminati...I love how A&J tie characters from their different books together!

This first entry isn't completely horrible on its own

Vengeance in the form of "Stop Hitting Yourself," because this entire AP is designed simply to rationalize the previous AP.

This first entry isn't completely horrible on its own, but since it is part of a truly awful adventure path, there is really no reason to start on a path that will go so badly wrong.

The whole AP was a missed opportunity. It served only one purpose: to justify the success of the preceding AP, which itself was just created to incorporate one of the Pathfinder designer's PC's into the setting and make her efforts canon.

Both of Hell's Vengeance (on itself) and Hell's Rebel's are part of a terrible trend in Pazio publications, and should be avoided.
